About Nate Smith

Nate Smith's career in country music is one characterized by tales of heartbreak, courage, and redemption. Raised in Paradise, California, he found a heart for music early on, with a church youth leader, Tom Petty, Garth Brooks, and Fleetwood Mac as his influences. Moving to Nashville at 23, he signed a record deal and began working on his own music.

In 2018, his home burned down in the tragic Butte County Camp Fire. This inspired him to pen his emotional song "One of These Days", becoming his breakout hit. Returning to Nashville to pursue music, he dropped "Wildfire", and a clip of him singing went viral on TikTok with over 3 million views. Signing with Sony and releasing "I Don't Wanna Go to Heaven", he became even more popular in the scene. He's been listed in 2022 lists of "Artists to Watch" by Country Lifestyle Network, PopWrapped, and Country Now.

Gritty Country and Powerful Vocals

Smith became highly praised for his soulful country music with a hint of rock influences and of course, his soaring vocal power. His self-titled debut LP in 2023 and his sophomore release in 2024 marked significant strides in his career. California Gold, in particular, carries rock energies which marked a significant shift from his early work. Sharing that he grew up with a lot of rock music from the early 2000s, he's simply tapping into his inner rockstar.

"My music has always been really diverse. I play with a variety of sounds because I'm such a fan of music, but I'm not shying away from my rock side. I feel like this record unapologetically leans into it more," Smith shared with GRAMMY.

Working with Avril Lavigne for a remix of "Bulletproof" and "Can You Die From A Broken Heart", the man has come a long way. Marking an evolution not only of his sound but also of his life, it's a stepping stone towards a greater Nate Smith.

"With this project, it's an evolution of me as a person, because I've completely listened to everything that I felt convicted about while making this album," he shared. From its production down to the tales he's sharing, we're witnessing a man whose passion has gone to the next level.

Taking it all to the stage, it's gonna be a wild night of his emotional bangers, rockin' country anthems, and big surprises for this extra-special show at the Choctaw Grand Theater. What a way to cap off the year! Don't miss out by booking your tickets now!
