You want to spend the holidays at a premier country music event? It's hard to find performances that don't directly involve a "holiday" theme in very late December. However, the fine folks at the Choctaw Casino & Resort decided it was a great idea to bring country superstars Midland to their venue for a Saturday December 27th showing!
It's going to be an interesting change of pace to hear this country trio singing about "Burn Out" and drinkin instead of hearing some Christmas carols this time of year. Who knows, though, they might do some covers! In any case, it's a performance that allows you to hear some music that you actually enjoy during a time of year when you may even have some mandatory time off! There's a reason why Mildland comes around to the Choctaw Grand Theater at least once a year! Local fans and all of the folks coming up from North Texas for the weekend love their country music. This 2025 date to end the year in the middle of the holiday season is an interesting one. It's a great opportunity for people who maybe won't be doing much for New Year's because of work or whatever it may be. This date could be a way to have an anticipated party. Other lucky folks who are basically on vacation through the beginning of 2026 can take this weekend off and head over to a country show that may or may not have some holiday flair. Again, don't be too surprised if the trio sings a few Christmas songs here and there!
A lot of male talent in country sing about love, fishin', and other aspects of the country. Then here comes Midland with tracks like "Drinkin' Problem." You could argue that they cover some of the "darker" topics of that life as well. That's one of the reasons that they actually relate to a fan base that's going to be at the Choctaw Grand Theater, potentially sipping something strong. It's a bit of a "darker" country show to some degree. Yet, these guys have some tracks that can get even the toughest cowboy emotional.
You can get a table off to the side, providing direct access to food and drinks and a more comfortable overall experience. In fact, in that table area, you may even have some extra room for dancing. Getting a seat close to the stage can also be a good idea to truly take in that country vibe that Midland's bringing to Oklahoma. One of the great things about this venue is that pretty much every spot offers great views of the stage.
